Changes
  • Reduced visual clutter and increased visual impact of the primary trail
  • Modified trail patterns to have a single trail color with small color and shape-coded patterns to indicate trail difficulty. The shape codes allow for colorblind people to differentiate trail difficulty.
  • Visually de-emphasized secondary trails (so users know the trails are there and can use them for orientation, but they also know that there is a preferred primary trail and can avoid the secondary trail)
  • Visually de-emphasized vegetation and rock formations
  • Added hash lines to clarify wall orientation
  • Modified orientation photo labels to reduce clutter. Also color-coded the lines on the photo to better align/orient with the map.
