The Climbs (From L to R)
Climb: The Last Panty (Sport) (5.7)(1 pitch - 45')
Wall: Panty Conclusion WTF? What the FUN! The first of the 5.7s on the wall (left-most 5.7 - second to the last bolt line on the right end of the wall). Fun and easy feaured-face sport climb. Not much else to say about it. |
Climb: Silk Panties (Sport) (5.7)(1 pitch - 40')
Wall: Panty Conclusion WTF? What the FUN! This is the right-most bolted route. It has glue-ins. Use this route to access the anchors for Tighty Whities - the top rope climb. Very similar fun face climbing as The Last Panty. |
Climb: Tighty Whities (TR) (5.7+)(1 pitch - 40')
Wall: Panty Conclusion WTF? What the FUN! A top rope climb that, based upon the lack of chalk on the walls, is rarely done. It's actually quite fun to climb a route that isn't chalked up, so if you climb it, perhaps challenge yourself to use only red/orange colored chalk or no chalk at all in an attempt to preserve the uniqueness of this climb. It is a little different than the face climbs to left, which makes it a but more interesting. The anchors for this climb are accessed by climbing Silk Panties, the 5.7 bolted line to the left. |
Climb: Thong (Sport) (5.7)(1 pitch - 30')
Wall: Panty Conclusion WTF? What the FUN! When I was supposed to be the one climbing this climb, Rick issued the challenge for me to try to place a full double rack (up to a #3, excluding the nuts) in the 30'. But I got on the wrong climb (Cover my Buttress, which is included below). So Rick and I returned two days later to do this, the correct, climb. I issued him a challenge - climb Thong with only nuts/passive pro. He accomplished the task! There are now anchors at the top of this climb, so you can either rappel or walk-off back and then right. The walk-off is safe and easy (I ended up just dropping the rope and walking off instead of rappelling.) FYI there are also anchors immediately to climber's left for toproping an unknown climb, and further left you can see the anchors for Cover My Buttress. |
Ooops, I climbed the wrong climb... I guess I should have actually looked at the photo of the climb instead of being lured into my own mistaken logic which was: Hey that climb looks fun; Cool, there's an anchor, must be it (even though descriptions said walk-off); It's in the vicinity of where I think the climb is located, so it must be the climb; Check the photo? Why bother?... After getting back home and creating this page write up, I realized I did the wrong climb! Haha!
Prior to Tristan and I leaving to do the 5.7s on Panty Wall, Rick issued me a challenge. Knowing I was lugging the trad rack up for a single 30' trad climb amongst sport climbs, Rick jokingly challenged me to place every piece of our double rack up to the #3 (excluding nuts/tricams). I told him if I did it he owed me some boba milk tea! Challenge accepted!
Well, I did it - haha! I have to say I'm pretty damn proud of myself!
